Phaeton

Phaeton is a science fiction world which deals with our universe in about 4500 years. Humanity has to realize that they are not alone in the universe and they started a war against the first species they accounted, the Cray. After a devastating war for both combatants, another species jumps out of nowhere and attacks them both. In a swift battle the new species, the Raccequa, defeat both the Cray and the Humans and enslaves them. Within a small number of years, the Raccequa built a vast empire spanning nearly two thirds of the universe. The vast expansion and the strict hierarchical structure of the raccequan empire was its own downfall after the death of the emperor. Without a head the regional leaders were unable to stop the uprisings and a revolution broke out. The enslaved species managed to free themselves from their rulers and started to build a new government. This new government is the first intergalactic union which lasts with only small conflicts until the present day, five hundred years later.

Elemente des Schicksals

Imagine a world where faith can literally shift mountains. The world is in constant flux and only small pockets remain constant. The village you grew up in might be a calm place and peaceful but what if there is a rumour that behind the mountains to the north barbarian hordes roam the lands slaughtering everything in their pass. If that rumour has enough people believing the hordes are really coming destroying the land but if there is someone starting a counter-rumour like a prophecy that a saviour will come and stop the barbarians, a simple person could become even a god.

This world is governed by magic and it can be a harsh mistress...

Terra Magicka

Terra Magicka is mostly our world but with a magical subculture. This subculture is unlike the one in stories like Harry Potter. The magic users are living inside the normal society, most have normal jobs and some are married to normal humans but they try to hide their world from the majority of people by discrediting it through media. There are many different believes where the individual magic power comes from but the moment they loose their believe they start to loose connection to magic. Not all magic users are human per say, there are old bloodlines of creatures which always lived at the fringe of the known world. When such creatures were spotted, stories and legend were written down like fairy tales or urban legends. All those are essentially true in this world...

There is an agency that controls the "masquerade". If someone breaks it, there will be an agent who persuade the normal citizens that they must have imagined the whole thing. The problem with that approach is that almost everybody with the ability to alter memories, cast illusions or is able to spin a convincing enough tale has to work for the agency because the percentage of magic user is only about 1:10000 of the whole population. This fragile system could break down and could unleash hell on earth...

The idea of the agency and the masquerade dates back to the Magna Carta or the Peace of West-Phalia.

Cyberpunk

This cyberpunk world is what our world could be in a few decades with all the clichés of popular books and other media. Megacorporations ruling the world instead of governments, various kinds of implants can enhance every aspect of everyday life and the ability to digitalize our brains to enter cyberspace and even leave our bodies completely...
